The Calm During The Storm – What Next?

So another period has passed without a newsletter written, down to being busy in the summer months getting people ready for their holidays and beach/pool wear…i apoligise its no excuse!

But a somewhat less busy week (still manic) has given me the opportunity and the impetus to reflect on the year so far.

Where im at, what ive achieved and what ive still not done (this column is always the biggest!)

Taking this little period of calm, lets me evaluate 2015 and also to reevaluate what i want the rest of 2015…2016…2017 and so on to be

myfitnesspro isn’t its final product yet…far from it

There’s better ways to help people, more ways to help people and more people to help at that

Its a constantly evolving organism, changing direction, changing form and direction…but its constantly moving forward …which is a success in my mind

Im at the same stage with my own training, deciding whether what i have done so far worked, if i enjoyed it, what the results yielded and if i want to continue…so far so good…but theres always work to be done

Now i want a change of track…something to challenge me more so i have decided on a iron man…but combining it with strength training…2 things i love…but somewhat opposing in targets

Anyhow i digress….

My point here is that whatever you set out with as a goal will change over time
Your original target will move, evolve

People start training looking to lose fat, but find themselves loving the fitness and training for mudruns, progressing from 5k to 20k

Have you achieve your goals already?
Are you sat on a beach drinking a pina colada, happy with what you did to get there and a wry smug grin on your face!

Or is there something more you want now? Have you decided on something more challenging? Is there something else you want to work on?

Continuing to progress, constant re-evaluation, striving, moving, using what worked and dismissing what didn’t is what gets people those amazing results…over longer periods, setting the work into stone and making it a lifestyle…not just a short term project

Why wait until January the 1st to set more goals…when its dark and damp and cold, probably hungover and ill, setting goals because its the done thing, knowing full well youll probably not continue for long.

Why not start now…while its still summer and you can make use of the outdoors…while its much more likely to happen and the process will be more enjoyable

Then in January you’ll have a head start

Why not refresh your goals every quarter/ month/ week

From big goals to not eating as much chocolate this week…..they all count
They all move you forward
They will all yield results
Which ultimately improves you
and makes you a happier bunny

For those out there that are looking for something different….myself and another PT are running a tough guy fitness training session, outdoors on a wednesday evening between Buckhurst hill and Chigwell…its using stuff you wouldnt have used before and like the name implies is tough..but good fun
Have a look here at what we are doing, like the page and keep in the loop of whats going on

https://www.facebook.com/toughguyfitnesstraining

For any females looking for something similar but in a more relaxed and female only environment…we are thinking of running a tough woman fitness training session, same sh!t less testosterone on a saturday morning….either as an introduction for the tough guy sessions or as a community all by itself

so any interest let me know, the more respond the more chance there is of getting this started and making tough the new strong which is the new skinny!!

enjoy your week
