The clue is in the title
have a HAPPY new year
not a fit new year
not a wealthy new year
not a ‘i’ve done a load of stuff’
Do the things that make you feel happy
IF getting fit and healthy is one of them then excellent
but don’t feel you need to push yourself into something you WONT enjoy
If improving your job, your business or income will improve your lifestyle then great.. but not to the detriment of your wellbeing
try to find ways to get those resolutions achieved without it being a big weight on your shoulders, a pain in the backside or a commitment you wish you never made
Do the things that genuinely bring a big smile to your face
remember the people that make you laugh when you spend time with them
go to place that make you feel homely, warm and content
Find the things that exhilarate you
That make you want to come back for more
and then actually do them again…not just the promise of doing it again
Find a hobby, a sport, an interest that gets you outside, gets you away from the tv or the phone… but only if you find genuine gratification in it (yet to meet someone who doesnt)
these things are the things you will look back on in a years time a reflect that it was time well spent
don’t be afraid to try things that you might like
and if you do brilliant
but if you don’t… nothing lost .. a lesson learned
try something else
don’t let what others think factor in your happiness
be free from judgement
have fun
giggle
play
act stupid
for some a struggle is happiness
overcoming a HUGE goal will bring joy
in which case absolutely brilliant
make sure that each moment is worthwhile
and i don’t mean conquering everest worthwhile
having a cuddle with your little girl whilst watching peppa pig can be just as precious
or not having the ‘who is MORE tired conversation’ with your partner,
i am by no means saying i mastered this
far from it
but if in 2018 i can improve on this then it will be happier
and happIER is good’er
Here’s to 2018!!
