Look after the pennies and the pounds look after themselves
i think thats applicable
but when looking at weight loss
or body composition change
people tend to get het up in making huge changes that become a little too much
where in fact if you make those tiny little changes
the ones you hardly notice
life remains relatively manageable in the short term
this is one of those
olive oil is amazing
tastes great and has some great properties
BUT
it contains a shit load of calories
like loads
and people rarely measure how much they are using
a ‘drizzle’ on a salad
is often a drench
and at 123 calories per 15 ml
which is about a tablespoon
its pretty calorific
and usually overlooked by people that are watching what they eat
or grouped into the clean eating therefore doesnt count
OR part of the healthy fats that help burn fat misconception
anyhow
you are probably using more than a tablespoon….maybe 3 which is about 360 calories (McDonalds cheeseburger anyone?)
so this stuff
is a great swap in
at 10 calories per tablespoon
so even if you flood your salad you will still be better of overall
plus it tastes ok too
so if you swap in the small things
the little savings here and there
all add up to a great saving but with much less hassle
i will keep adding these little swaps in whenever i come across them
anyone else with any decent swaps
or lower calorie versions?
post them up and we can all benefit
And head to your local Sainsbury’s (not my one in south Woodford though please ) and grab yourself a bottle!
